Are you a self-motivated individual that can work independently and in a team environment? This opportunity, within a large Oil and Gas company in Calgary, would be a one year opportunity, with possibility of going permanent. The primary responsibility of the Analyst, E&PS Procurement Engagement is to support and optimize the (business groups within) Exploration & Production Services regarding business requirements (processes) initiated by Supply Chain Management (Procurement). This role is also responsible for coordinating the development and execution of all E&PS procurement related improvements and liaise with multidiscipline teams to ensure successful delivery of E&PS related initiatives. Job Responsibilities 
  • Act as business partner between E&PS and Procurement for initiatives including contract schedules and expiries; provide transparency for joint E&PS and Procurement initiatives and act as an escalation point on Procurement initiatives
  • Coordinate E&PS and Procurement business initiatives or opportunities to ensure business benefits and value is identified and realized
  • Manage resources to effectively provide E&PS and Upstream support as required
  • Engage E&PS Business Process Analysis Team to conduct Business Impact Analysis
  • Maintain E&PS/Procurement document management
  • Establish and report on KPIs for E&PS/Procurement initiatives
  • Develop and maintain strategic E&PS/Procurement business relationship
  • Manage multiple priorities to ensure continuous improvement of business processes

Candidate Qualifications 
  • Post-secondary degree – BA, Bachelor of Commerce 
  • Five to seven years related experience in procurement 
  • Ability to analyze data and information and extract information to understand stakeholder requirements and expectations 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; to effectively facilitate discussions with a diverse group of stakeholders, users, etc.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office 
  • Open-mindset to new task and challenges 
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work load 
  • Positive attitude and ability to apply constructive criticisms 
  • Procurement knowledge considered an asset 
  • SAP – MM Module is an asset 
  • Spotfire – the ability to utilize (creation not needed) 
  • Software experience using MS Visio is an asset
