Our Oil & Gas client in downtown Calgary, is looking for a Production Accounting Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. If you have experience in production accounting along with strong leadership skills, please apply below!

Job Description
  • Management of the accounting team
  • Responsible for production and revenue accounting 
  • Non-operating joint venture transactions
  • Process and analyze monthly crown and freehold royalties
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Provide oversight and final preparation of the annual budgeting activity
  • Responsible for all aspects of the property account cycle which includes volumetric submission, financial recognition, analysis of revenue and royalties and ensuring government and contractual compliance
  • Duties associated with a production revenue accountant such as gathering, balancing and analysis of production data, preform monthly financial recognition and analysis of revenues and royalties, 
  • Royalty calculation, analysis, re-posting and communication with royalty stakeholders
  • Master file maintenance and liaising with internal stakeholders (field operations, engineering and land) 
  • Work with production revenue accounting team to review master file data and setup on PAS
  • Work with the production revenue accounting team to assist in the streamlining of the production revenue process

Candidate Qualifications
  • Post-secondary Business/Economics Degree/Certificate or related discipline 
  • 10 plus years of oil and gas experience
  • Three plus years  of leadership experience
  • Experience working with various Alberta oil and gas properties would be an asset 
  • Ability to evaluate contractual obligations
  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional communication skills in all forms including the ability to present information clearly and concisely 
  • Developed qualitative and quantitative analytical skills 
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. The ability to interact with personnel at various levels both internally and externally
  • Ability to adhere to corporate, business unit and industry governance's
