Description

As a key member of the HR Leadership Team and principle advisor to the Chief Human Resources Officer, you will provide strategic advice and counsel on all aspects of HR to drive organizational culture, employee engagement and business enabling strategies. You will build a culture of HR partnerships and foster collaboration with leaders across the organization, designing and implementing Talent Management strategies, programs and tools that are high impact and practical on the ground.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide a team of HR professionals who set the direction for corporate culture and foster employee relationships
  • Proven track record of influencing and engaging at all levels of the organization
  • Guide and facilitate transformational change initiatives from the ground up
  • Readily adapt and respond to new and evolving conditions, priorities technologies and requirements
  • Proven track record on HR strategies including talent management, organizational effectiveness and learning
  • Embrace change while developing innovative and creative solutions to emerging challenges and opportunities
Candidate Qualifications:
  • Post graduate degree in human resources from a recognized university, supplemented by 15 years of directly related HR management experience in a unionized environment with proven career growth path
  • HR accreditation such as CPHR (Certified Human Resource Professional) • Advanced knowledge and experience with large ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced growth environment, providing strategic direction from a human resources standpoint
  • Experience with problem solving in complex projects that have a company-wide impact where there is little or no precedent 
  • Ability to develop, implement and manage change effectively and recommend action plans 
  • Highly motivated and able to lead and inspire a team 
  • Possess a strong ability to develop relationships at all levels both internally and externally 
  • Able to work collaboratively across multiple functions
