Are you an experienced paralegal with a willingness to take on a variety of tasks? Our client, in the energy sector, is looking for a Corporate Paralegal to help ensure compliance within corporate legislation. This is a permanent position in Calgary, AB.  If you have strong communication skills and attention to detail, please apply.

Job Responsibilities 
  • Maintain corporate minute books and records in paper and on the databases 
  • Update corporate structure documents, organizational charts, and director and officer lists 
  • Process annual returns, prepare quarterly dividends resolutions, and compile information for CRA returns 
  • Assist with corporate transactions, document preparation, distribution, and closing book creation 
  • Assist with trade mark applications and renewals
  • Communicate with registered agents in foreign jurisdiction to obtain information for corporate filings
  • Support and provide backup for other administrators

Candidate Qualifications 
  • High School and College diploma 
  • Three to five years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department  
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust to changing priorities
  • Experience with an entity management system, electronic registry filing and CORES
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels
  • Ability to occasionally work outside of regular business hours
