Our client is a leading Canadian producer and exporter of coal for the global steel industry located in Northeast British Columbia and has a great opportunity for you. Job Responsibilities 
  • Developing and leading regular site communication sessions to review safety initiatives, site performance and other local initiatives
  • Lead and promote a culture where Health and Safety is the a top priority
  • Lead daily warehouse operations by prioritizing activities, and providing leadership, coaching and direction to the warehouse team. 
  • Measure and report on customer experience standards and metrics for all accounts and work with facility team to meet/exceed these standards
  • Ensures organizational adherence and accountability to standard operating procedures
  • Ensure that daily audits of inventory accuracy and process adherence are conducted. These include but are not limited to Daily Cycle Counts, Location Audits, and other established audits.
  • Prepares and manages warehouse operating budget.
  • Integrate environmental policies, programs, and practices into all activities of the organization.
  • Maintain environmental awareness among workforce by holding meetings and actively participate in planned environmental programs and drills.

Candidate Qualifications 

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a frontline supervisory role in a warehouse/logistics environment
  • Post-secondary education in Operations, Logistics or related field
  • Excellent people leadership abilities and a dedication to continuous improvement
  • Approachable, positive demeanor with a hands-on and team-oriented work style
  • Commitment to health and safety in the workplace
  • Proven ability to supervise a team working in a fast-paced warehouse environment to ensure accuracy, compliance and a team culture of excellence
  • Dedicated to continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Word, Excel and Outlook
