Description

Our oil and gas client is looking for an experience Crane & Hoist Equipment Operator to join their team for a four month contract at their Fort McMurray location. If this sounds like a great new opportunity, please apply below. Preference given to local candidates.

Job Responsibilities
  • Receive planned work orders from multiple inputs streams for scheduling
  • Develop daily, weekly and monthly crane schedules and resource profile for 24-hour site wide crane operations(including mob/demob boom crew activities)
  • Schedule & request daily, weekly & monthly resources for rental Cranes when the demand for cranes exceed on site Cranes resource capacities. The dispatcher is to be mindful to schedule resources in a manner that utilizes company owned resources efficiently to provide lowest cost services for Maintenance / TA activities
  • Provide daily Leader updates, identifying potential constraints/deficiencies/trends that could impact the schedule and recommend corrective action
  • Prepare short term and multi-month integrated schedules for Maintenance outages and Turnarounds
  • Build schedules that minimize equipment downtime and maximize efficient/effective use of resources
  • Provide for transition of work by preparing a weekly shift turn over logs

Candidate Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Journeyman crane operator ticket required
  • Four+ years of related experience
  • Maintenance and/or Project experience in a multi-discipline working environment
  • Class 1 drivers license considered an asset
  • Awareness of resource constraints
  • Knowledge of scheduling process, procedures and tools
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications & SAP
  • Understanding of all the key business processes that impact scheduling
  • Ability to understand and react with diverse groups and operations
