Are you a detail oriented, well organized Joint Venture Analyst looking for a dynamic team to work with?  Our client, a large oil and gas company, is looking for someone to join their team on a one year contract.  This role will report to the Land Manager with guidance from the Joint Venture Representative and support the day to day joint venture activities.  If this sounds like an opportunity for you to showcase your skills and drive results, apply today!

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide overall assistance to the Joint Venture Representative and Operations team
  • Preparation, handling and tracking of Mail Ballots and AFEs effectively timely and proficient manner as per the terms of the prevailing agreement
  • Creation and maintenance of operated, and maintenance of non-operated Joint Venture agreements and communication of relevant amendments to stakeholders
  • Liaise with Joint Venture and Production accounting departments to help manage rates, agreements, and general inquiries
  • Process all joint venture related pre and post-closing activities for property acquisitions and divestitures
  • Prepare and review Joint Venture agreements for Units, Facilities and Service Agreements
  • Input and update of agreements and related exhibits in CS Explorer, ensuring information is accurate and all related documents are attached
  • Complete evergreen reviews as required
  • Work with accounting to resolve billing discrepancies and or issues regarding joint venture agreements
  • Build and sustain effective relationships with partners and internal business groups and handle internal and external queries
  • Mentor the joint venture administrator
  • Additional responsibilities as required

Candidate Qualifications
  • Five to ten years of related Joint Venture experience is required; more than ten years of related Joint Venture experience an asset
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry and understanding of petroleum fundamentals and related terminology, technical aspects of production infrastructure and field operations
  • Post-secondary education is required; Joint Venture Certificate would be an asset
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; able to work with a dynamic fast paced team
  • Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals while also having the ability to work independently for significant periods of time
  • Ability to adhere to existing processes for accurate data integrity and audit requirements
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Must have working knowledge of CS Explorer, Accumap and Petrinex; experience with AFE Navigator, Q-byte, Field View and Quorum Land would be an asset
  • Superb communication skills; comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while delivering a high quality product across the board
