Description

Are you a detailed and dedicated administrator with experience time keeping for various teams? Do you enjoy troubleshooting and solving problems? Our oil and gas client in Fort McMurray is seeking an individual to join their team on a 9 month contract. As this role is based in Fort McMurray, the successful candidate must be local to the community.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure and all timesheets are submitted on a daily basis and entered in a timely manner for the entire occupational and front line workforce. Enter, track and steward late timekeeping requests.
  • Review timekeeping entries for accuracy, consistency and compliance with Pay Practices
  • Inputting and updating vacation requests for employees
  • Serve as an expert resource for employee and leadership inquiries regarding timekeeping, Time System and Pay Practices
  • Also act as a liaison between the business and Payroll
  • Screening and telephone calls, receiving and directing employees
  • Work closely with employees, Leaders, HR and Payroll to investigate and resolve timekeeping discrepancies
  • Provide support to Turnaround regarding education and timekeeping entry
  • Identify and initiate continuous improvement activities for current timekeeping processes
  • Calculating and advising on most effective team change dates
  • Process all requests for approved Vacation Advances, Management overtime and the calculation of time-off for employees
  • Maintaining and processing Time Approval for unendorsed time
  • Process timesheet activation in Time System for new hires 
Candidate Qualifications
  • Minimum two year Office Administration Diploma
  • Minimum one  year timekeeping experience
  • Canadian Payroll Association Accreditation, experience with Timekeeping systems and payroll experience an Asset
  • Experience with Timekeeping systems and Payroll would be as asset 
  • Excellent skill with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and email systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good customer service skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize
