Are you an enthusiastic, motivated, strategic thinker with a strong background in compensation?  Our Calgary client is seeking an experienced Senior Compensation Analyst, to join their team on a full-time basis for a 14 month contract. The successful candidate will play be an integral part in compensation related activities, as well as in the development, implementation and administration of the company’s compensation programs. Job Responsibilities
  • Administer incentive plans, including analysis, administration and communications 
  • Work with US-based counterparts to support alignment in program offerings and reporting
  • Participate in annual and ad hoc salary and compensation surveys and related analysis of results
  • Participate in market research and review industry best practices to recommend new or changes to existing compensation programs 
  • Facilitate and administer the annual salary review process
  • Prepare reporting and analysis related to compensation programs 
  • Participate and provide input into quarterly and annual external filings
  • Prepare and provide financial report as they relate to compensation programs on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Prepare budget for compensation related programs 
  • Monitor the effectiveness of compensation program and recommend changes to reduce costs and improve delivery
  • Provide compensation recommendations for hew hires, promotions and transfers

Candidate Qualifications
  • Related degree with a minimum of eight years of compensation and/or incentive plan analysis
  • Extensive experience in utilizing systems for program administration and data analysis
  • Expert in Microsoft applications, with an advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Willing to take on new challenges and responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail, able to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
  • Experience with JDE and Shareworks would be considered an asset
  • CCP or CEBS certification would be an asset
