Are you a strategic thinker with a background in data management, analytics and workforce planning?  Our Calgary client, a leader in the energy industry, is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated Analyst, HR Compensation and Reporting, to join their team on a full time basis for a one year contract. Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct compensation recommendations for new hires, transfers and promotions
  • Assist with the administration and reporting for compensation programs
  • Participate in annual and ad hoc compensation surveys
  • Assist with the monthly financial accrual processes for incentive programs
  • Consolidate HR data from multiple systems and produce accurate, reliable and standardized reporting and dashboards 
  • Working with other teams to analyze current reporting and analytics processes and revise if required
  • Partner with Finance to assist with the annual budgeting process for HR, as well as build reports to analyze HR budgets and costs
  • Analyze and present data to identify significant trends or key issues, provide recommendations 
  • Understand workforce planning requirements from HR Business Partners in order to  reconcile and operationalize existing workforce planning tools to enable leaders to make informed decisions 

Candidate Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Management or Data Analytics
  • Two + years of related experience in data analytics, reporting and/or workforce planning
  • Expert in Microsoft applications, with an advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Power BI would be considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes
  • Experience in compensation administration
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Strong data visualization skills
  • Willing to take on new challenges and responsibilities
  • High attention to detail, able to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
