Our client in Calgary  is looking for Business Analyst to join their team for a four to six week contract in Calgary. The successful candidate will work with company stakeholders to define requirements, support business case development to get to the draft RFP stage. This includes working with several different teams, interfacing with vendors for demonstrations to help understand the possibilities of the latest available products. Job Responsibilities
  • Collect, finalize, and document requirements and develop requirement specifications 
  • Complete document analysis, business process descriptions, scenarios, task and workflow analysis
  • Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true requirements
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements, and deliver Business Requirements Documents and requirements acceptance criteria the purpose of an RFP and potential future definition of functional requirements for development, execution, and deployment
  • Assist the project manager, SCM, and other stakeholders with the RFP process
  • Work independently and with users and stakeholders to define concepts under direction of project leaders
  • Act as the liaison between the project team and internal and external stakeholders 

Candidate Qualifications 

  • 5+ years in a Business Analyst role
  • Post-secondary education in Commerce, Economics or related field 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • BA experience in Construction, Maintenance and Integration Projects essential
  • Deep understanding of project controls
  • Superior analytical skills, logical thinking and creative problem solving 
  • High attention to detail, superior organizational skills and the ability to perform within tight deadlines 
  • Strong product management skills along with a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translating them into application and operational requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with multiple levels of the organization
