Our client is looking for a Controls Specialist to help their team for a nine month contract in Fort McMurray AB. If you feel you could excel in this position, please apply below. Preference will be given to local candidates. 

Job Responsibilities 
  • Act on behalf of business areas as a proxy approver for contractor payment system
  • Validate time and expenses approved by business area approvers is reflected on the vendor timesheet, prior to approval for payment 
  • Resolve/troubleshoot invoicing issues with involved parties, as required (e.g. business area, vendors, procurement)
  • Deal with the administrative functionality of rejections, wrongful entries and incorrect data
  • Interface with business areas and vendors
  • Maintain accurate data integrity
  • Generate monthly reports by running reports
  • Comply with role-specific business controls practices/requirements
Candidate Qualifications 
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous SCL experience with payables or procurement areas, an asset
  • Be knowledgeable and have had some experience using SAP
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting; conflict resolution 
  • Professional, discrete, attentive to detail, willing to assist where required
  • Two to Five year experience
