Description

We are seeking a Sanitation Technician for a two week temporary role in Olds, AB starting as soon as possible.  Reporting to the Sanitation Lead, the Sanitation Technician will clean and sanitize manufacturing and production rooms, equipment and general facility areas to ensure compliance with Health Canada standards and Standard Operating Procedures supporting the day to day activities in the cultivation of plants.
 
Job Responsibilities 
  •  Sanitation of public area floors with designated cleaning supplies and approved floor cleaners as per instructions
  • Cleaning and wiping down of all public area surfaces including but not limited to; walls, cupboards, shelves, doors, light switches, ceilings as scheduled or needed for common areas (main facility entrance, gowning area, staff room, main hallways, over-head doors and staff entrance, etc.)
  • Moving equipment and product up to 50lbs
  • Complete all documentation in real-time on a daily, weekly and monthly basis while abiding by Good Documentation Practices
  • Responsible for full sanitation and stocking of all bathrooms located in the facility (coordinates with logistics to replenish supplies)
  • Responsible for restocking towel dispensers, hand sanitizers, soap dispensers, glove racks outside cultivation areas and alerting procurement when sanitation inventory is low
  • Empty all facility and office area trash cans as scheduled and replace with new liners as required
  • Perform spot cleaning in emergency situations as required (toilet overflows, spilled garbage etc.)
  • Inform supervisor of any concerns or observed problems that arise
  • Other duties as assigned
Candidate Qualifications
  • 1-2 years’ experience in sanitation or housekeeping preferred, but also willing to train
  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Solid team player who promotes a culture of professionalism, integrity, quality and teamwork
  • Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Great deal of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be able to clear a criminal record check
