Job Responsibilities
  • Develop Retail functional/technical training content using, Articulate 360, HR L&D CoE tools, principles of instructional design and adult learning guidelines to deliver required learning outcomes
  • Conduct training needs assessments
  • Design and develop training content for all phases of the learning cycle for English Canada operations employees for Full Service and Community Banners, selecting suitable learning activities and analyzing and selecting appropriate delivery methodologies to achieve the learning objectives, such as on the job shadowing, instructor lead classroom / virtual, eLearning’s, and self-directed
  • Design and develop valid and reliable assessments
  • Ensure learning objects/assets are built with sustainability in mind e.g. quick docs, reusable learning objects, new hires
  • When required support with train-the-trainer sessions for new initiatives,
  • Participate in peer to peer quality assurance reviews
  • Apply knowledge of serious games and simulations, virtual classroom, mobile and micro learning, social learning, video based training scenarios to work with curriculum manger and content development peers to optimize management training program core modules and entry level training

Candidate Qualifications

  • Ability to generate clear training material
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and leverage resources to generate materials
  • Ability to build relationships across functions
  • Ability to plan and organize
  • Two or more years of experience in design and development of training materials and using eLearning applications (E.g. Uperform, Adobe Captivate,Articulate 360, or similar)
  • Experience designing and developing for micro learning including gamification solutions and reusable learning objects
  • Experience in developing customer service (specific to role)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Articulate 360
