Are you an experienced Maintenance Planner looking a new opportunity? Our client, a global building products company, is looking for a Maintenance Planner to complete a full time, six month contract in Calgary.  The primary role of the maintenance planner is to coordinate the day to day maintenance work plans and parts availability to meet the plant requirements. Job Responsibilities
  • Establish, maintain and improve the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling business flow process
  • Scope the full extent of maintenance work needed 
  • Responsible for most maintenance purchasing and adhering to budget guidelines
  • Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work
  • Create purchase requisitions for maintenance services
  • Follow up with maintenance vendors on outstanding purchase orders
  • Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history, technical information on processes, plant, equipment and job records
  • Maintain and execute site services contracts, schedules and programs
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the plant facility and grounds
  • Ensure key performance indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability, maintenance department performance and planning and scheduling business flow process
  • Collaborate with maintenance supervision to schedule manpower and resources 
  • Responsible for the organization and function of the maintenance storeroom
  • Assist with supervision of maintenance employees

Candidate Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree, preferably a diploma in engineering technology or technical trades background
  • Minimum of three to five years related maintenance experience 
  • Previous experience in an industrial planning environment
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP
  • Professional and personable individual who has great organizational and prioritization skills 
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in a unionized environment would be considered an asset
