Our client is looking for an experienced Mechanical Technical Supervisor in Lloydminster, SK to fill a 12 month contract position.  The successful candidate will provide technical support to the Lloydminster Heavy Oil and Gas, Thermal and M-RFO team.   If this sounds like something you would be interested in please apply below. 

Job Responsibilities 
  • Support the creation of the SAP hierarchy 
  • Participate in asset criticality and critical spares identification 
  • Lead and assist in the development, creation, and optimization of SAP plant maintenance  Collaborate with required stakeholders as required to complete scope 
  • Build time based and conditions based preserve task lists 
  • Build restore task lists 
  • Lead and assist in assembly creation 
  • Lead and assist in the development and creation of Material Masters and equipment BOMs 
  • Roll out SAP maintenance plans, items and task lists to the facility Maintenance and Operations teams 
  • Identify failures modes and associated critical spares; define maintenance strategy 
  • Identify warehouse preservation requirements of critical sparing 
  • Ensure processes are carried out effectively and drive continuous improvement 
  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives 
  • Lead or support the development of new or modification of existing procedures and work instructions 

Candidate Qualifications
  • Journeyman Millwright with inter-provincial red seal (or eligibility for designation) or Mechanical Engineering Technologist with field experience relating to rotating equipment
  • Eight years mechanical maintenance experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, pulp and paper or power generation industries 
  • Experience and working knowledge of a Centralized Maintenance Management System such as SAP PM or Maximo 
  • Experience with work order execution, task list scoping, equipment troubleshooting 
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of pressure equipment, rotating, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls equipment and various engineered drawings and documents
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office suite (specifically Excel)
  • Professional and personable with strong communication skills, with the ability to conduct business meetings
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills and able to prioritize 
  • Works well in a team as well as individually to achieve results in a busy environment with multiple stakeholders 
  • Able to work in an office environment at a desk full time
