Our Surrey client is looking for a Network Analyst to join their team for a fulltime 12- month contract.  The Network Planner is responsible for understanding a network consisting of the deployed technology and by creating innovative solutions to address optimization and consolidation network opportunities. Job Responsibilities
  • Develop project plans, tasks, and timelines for multiple groups in Operations to ensure network optimization and scalability
  • Creates, analyzes and interprets drawings/specifications, ensuring that the results are complete, accurate, and maintain compliance with established company standards
  • Develops, documents, and communicates network deployment standards
  • Initiates internal work orders identifying potential problems in the network and proposes appropriate solutions
  • Provides input on new products to enable network growth, performance utilization and/or cost savings
  • Creates procedures to analyze network utilization and predict growth trends
  • Creates plans to optimize, augment and reconfigure the network as growth dictates
  • Prepares project status reports and updates management
  • Develops, oversees, and or approves quotes and budgets related to sales requests
  • Creates methods of procedure for all splicing activities including sales driven network augmentation, external utility relocation (road moves), and fiber cuts
  • Update and document database with new network elements such as on-net buildings, building entrance cables, laterals, backbones, and all splicing that makes connectivity to the existing network

Candidate Qualifications
  • Minimum a Bachelor degree in Computer Networking / Engineering
  • Preferred Certification –CCNA, CCNP
  • One to three years’ experience
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precise technical plans, drawings, and models
  • Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities
  • Ability to prioritize with good time management skills
  • Capable of accurately troubleshooting physical and logical network outages
  • Distinguished knowledge of IP design including TCP/IP, VPN concepts in IP/MPLS multi-vendor environment, Nokia and Cisco routing/switches, network management
  • Confident with presentation and communication skills
