Description

Our Calgary Oil & Gas client is seeking an IT Project Manager,  HR Transformation (Workday)  with a passion for delivering technology solutions that meet business outcomes. Reporting to the Human Resources department, you will be transforming the organization to meet strategic goals along with leading the selection and implantation of new technologies. This is a full time, 6 month contract with the possibility of extension. 

Job Responsibilities 
  • Manage key priority project in a growing organization
  • Vendor selection process
  • Collaborate with executive, senior management and stakeholders with the ability to coach them on their roles in governance committee
  • Develop full-scale project plans interactively with team members and ensure on-time delivery 
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and track resource requirements and effort throughout the project including additional staff or consultants as required
  • Perform cost estimations, budget control, resource planning and critical path scheduling
  • Facilitate design and implementation reviews
  • Proactively manage and communicate changes in project scope or budget, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations

 Candidate Qualifications
  • University degree or college diploma 
  • 15+ years of experience managing projects in human resources and delivering technology solutions 
  • Experience in delivering HR technology solutions where Workday is the key technology
  • Experience in the oil & gas industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team
  • Able to communicate clearly and explain technical terms to a non-technical audience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exposure to large-scale systems
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, motivating and supervising team members and contractors
  • Strong customer service skills 
  • Some travel may be required
