Our client in Calgary is looking for an experienced Procurement Associate to complete a full time, six month contract. If you are proficient with Microsoft Office, have high attention to detail and are looking for a new opportunity, please apply below.  

Job Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain purchasing documents in SAP
  • Ensure all conditions for purchasing documents are being met 
  • Compile, verify accuracy and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for entry in SAP
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors
  • Research and obtain additional information for incomplete documents
  • Ensure requests are processed in a timely manner
  • Interface with key stakeholders 
  • Manage requests within shared mailbox
  • Store supporting documentation in designated locations for records retention purposes, performing back-up if required
  • Basic data analysis including stewardship and metrics, to ensure operational integrity of purchasing documents
  • Troubleshooting activities and ad hoc requests as needed

Candidate Qualifications 
  • Minimum one years’ experience in similar role
  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • Completed or working towards Bachelor of Commerce 
  • Basic understanding of databases, include SAP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Experience using office equipment (printer, fax machine, scanner, etc.)
  • Good organizational skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
  • High attention to detail, with an ability to identify errors
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High level of confidentiality
