Our client in St. Albert, is looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist to join their team on a full-time basis for a three month contract.  If you are ready for a new challenge, this may be the job you have been waiting for. 

Job Description
  • Coordinate and administer the capital project bidding process
  • Negotiate and develop terms and conditions of standard and non-standard form contracts
  • Explain the procurement process, sourcing strategies, and the contracting process to managers and staff
  • Perform contract analysis throughout the life cycle of the contract
  • Lead in the procurement of maintenance and minor construction projects
  • Assist with purchasing of standard goods and services

Candidate Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in Supply Chain Management or Business
  • Supply Chain Management Profession designation or a Certified Public Procurement Officer designation
  • 10+ years of related professional experience
  • Municipal or Public sector experience is preferred
  • Exceptional MS Office skills
  • Strong experience with an automated purchasing system such as Agresso (preferred)
  • Superior interpersonal, negotiating and customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Analytical with high attention to detail
  • Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills
