Description

Our commercial construction client is looking for an individual to join their team in the Yukon as a Branch Manager. This position is accountable for day-to-day operations of the branch, overseeing the Electrical Division, and Power Division, as well as promoting and expanding operations in the region. This position is Fly-in-fly out, with three on/ three off. If this is a position you feel you could excel at, please apply below. 

Job Responsibilities 
  • Maintain workload for crews in the region
  • Ensure all crews are aware and abiding with the Corporate Safety Program and its terms
  • Ensure electrical/power tenders are prepared and correctly submitted (accurate calculations) and executed (work completed to specifications)
  • Promote company to expand customer base and diversity investigating options for business diversification
  • Monitor and guide crews and support staff to increase efficiency and profitability
  • Monitor daily operations
  • Communicate with suppliers, customers, staff and shareholders
  • Manage staffing and staff issues
  • Support Electrical PM/Estimators and Powerline crew 
  • Ensure equipment and tools are being maintained/ repaired according to standards and are work ready
  • Lead Safety Meetings, ensure reporting is being completed correctly and lead the safety program
  • Ensure processes are in place for reporting to Shareholders and project Stakeholders
  • Participate in weekly corporate meetings

Candidate Qualifications 
  • Electrical Trade certification (Journeyman)
  • Master level knowledge and experience in Commercial and Industrial electrical maintenance and construction that enable company to obtain work with a variety of scope 
  • Computer and software literate
  • Able and willing to work long hours and participate with crew if required
  • Business knowledge - processes/reporting experience
  • Must be a leader, and have the ability to lead a variety of personnel from office staff to estimator to field staff
  • Knowledge of high voltage systems would be an asset
