Description

Our client, a large Oil & Gas company in Chauvin, is currently looking for a Production Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical oversight, mentoring, and establishing best practices related to the asset’s production engineering activities. Job Description

Validate and reconcile production systems data, ensuring information complies with PMS standards
Propose production optimization methods for achieving the highest possible economic benefits supported by monitoring, assessibility and analysis
Establish production potential in the asset to improve exploitation profitability
Monitor and validate that loss information is contained in the system and defined according to guidelines
Prepare and implement a well integrity plan including well inspection, monitoring, data analysis and corrective actions
Define, design and supervise the appropriate and economic rig/rigless intervention methods for producer/injector well(s) servicing for monitoring, optimization and workover
Provide KPIs in accordance with the different disciplines related to the production process and well integrity including well variables/survey system
Advise and monitor actions in order to guarantee the flow from the sand face to the primary separation
Conduct periodic analysis, diagnosis and troubleshooting of production and injection wells to identify bottlenecking, causes of deferral or integrity issues that may impact the asset life cycle
Perform actions to mitigate/avoid production/injection impairment in compliance with production plans
Establish the asset production plan in collaboration with the different disciplines ensuring operability, costs and viability and provide regular updates

Candidate Qualifications

10+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry, focused in Production Engineering
Active APEGA registration
Experience with Energy Components, PVR, iwit
Experience with OFM and PETEX software (PVT-P, MBAL, Propser, GAP)
Familiarity with discounted cash flow analysis and economic metrics (DPI, NPV, ROR etc.)
Experience with S-Rod, PCP pump
Strong project management skills with commitment to data integrity
Strong leadership and mentoring capability, willing to share knowledge, train and coach other team members
Able to influence without formal authority, working with minimal supervision
Analytical mindset with a focus on troubleshooting, creative problem-solving and continuous improvement
Active learner, engaged in the industry and knowledgeable about new technology and best practice
