Description

Our client in Calgary is seeking an experienced HSE Program Developer, Safety Loss Management System (SLMS) to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible to assist in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of SLMS programs. Job Responsibilities 
  • Assist in SLMS Risk Management Program activities, including the maintenance of the legal registry and hazard inventory
  • Assist in the development of processes and procedures that will mitigate risks to people, property and the environment
  • Complete SLMS Performance Monitoring activities, including inspections, QA/QC activities and internal audits
  • Assist in the preparation of SLMS performance reporting, incident investigations and reports, as well as corrective and preventative action plans

Candidate Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering with a minimum of a two-year technical diploma
  • Five+ years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Five+ years’ experience relevant to SLMS risk management
  • Experience in training, document control, records management, audits, inspections and QA/QC
  • Experience in conducting incident investigations and preparing incident reports
  • Experience/certification in root cause analysis
  • Familiarity with CSA Z662-15, National Energy Board Onshore Pipeline Regulations, Canadian Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and Saskatchewan and Manitoba Provincial legislation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Able to work effectively, both independently and in a multi-discipline team environment
  • Exceptional communication (written and oral) and organization skillslean
  • Strong facilitation, collaboration and negotiation skills 
  • Related experience in Health & Safety, Environment, Pipeline Damage Prevention, Security, Regulatory Management and Emergency Management would be considered an asset
