Do you love working with people? Our client is looking for an HR Advisor to join their team on a permanent, full time basis in Tumbler Ridge. The successful candidate will play a key role in support of the Human Resource Manager and will be assisting with all HR functions.  If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please apply below.

Job Responsibilities
  • Implement established programs including performance reviews, training and development, recruiting, compensation reviews, employee communication’s and benefits administration
  • Implement individual and HR team projects such as reward and recognition, retention, statistical analysis, and career development programs
  • Provide information and advice regarding workforce planning, employee relations, workplace issues, workplace health and safety, and HR related legislation
  • Keeps current with changes to legislation such as Human Rights Act, Privacy Act, Employment Standards, and Health and Safety legislation
  • Conduct exit interviews, identify key issues and trends and make recommendations for improvement as appropriate
  • Ensure the disability management program is effective, including short-term and long-term leaves
  • Work with the HR administrator on new hires, benefits enrollment, tracking probation's, new employee orientations, collection of survey information, vacation, in lieu days, etc
  • Work with supervisors and managers to determine recruitment requirements

Candidate Qualifications
  • Degree/diploma in Human Resources Management.  Equivalent experience and training will be considered
  • Completed or working towards a CHRP designation
  • Knowledge of employment legislation 
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio
  • Familiar with Human Resource Management Systems, as well as experience with ADP
  • Familiar with recruitment software
  • Maintain confidentiality 
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Possess strong problem-solving ability, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to act with good judgment, and discretion
