Do you speak English and Spanish? Our client is looking for a Human Resource Manager to joint their team in Houston TX on a permanent basis. As a member of a Global HR team, a successful candidate would be supporting a team of HR professionals within the US and five Latin America countries: Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia and Mexico, to ensure organizational excellence in the areas of recruitment, training and development, talent management, pay and benefits. Job Responsibilities 
  • Hands-on, day-to-day support and coaching to managers and employees on a wide range of human resource issues, including the application and understanding of policies, practices, disciplinary issues, change management, performance management, employee relations, recruitment, and developmental opportunities ensuring alignment with corporate objectives
  • Support and enhance human resource programs that are currently in place, including recruitment, performance management, talent management, career development, training, compensation, and benefit and wellness programs
  • Responsible for US bi-weekly payroll and participates in annual benefit renewal
  • Oversee employment immigration cases and liaise with immigration attorney
  • Proactive recruitment and sourcing of top talent
  • Develop staffing strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the organization for positions of responsibility
  • Develop human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific programs to fill the identified gaps
  • Continually assesses the competitiveness of all programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries and markets
  • Establish credibility throughout the organization to be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues
  • Manage the human resource information systems (SAP) and provide necessary reports for critical analyses of the HR function and the people resources of the organization
  • Mentor and develop others within the human resource discipline
  • Manage the budget and other financial measures of the HR department
  • Assure regional employees participate in International Travel procedure protocols

Candidate Qualifications
  • A degree in Human Resources or a related subject 
  • Eight plus years of progressive HR experience including experience in multiple areas of HR such as Recruitment and Retention, Compensation and Benefits, Succession Planning, Training and Organizational Development
  • Relevant sector experience in oil and natural gas services or field operations a significant plus
  • A strong understanding of the key market drivers and potential issues which may affect the business and its customers is essential
  • Good personal presence and a strong personal leadership style combined with a confident, entrepreneurial and hard-working approach are critical to the success of this role
  • The appointed candidate must be technically capable, commercially aware and possess the ability to inspire and influence people at all levels
  • A proven business partner with a demonstrable track record of contributing to growing a business, both in terms of revenue, profit and geographic footprint
  • Aptitude to function as a change agent, to foster creativity and idea generation with regard to process improvement, and the ability to leverage information systems to achieve efficient and effecting reporting
  • Excellent technical skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and SAP
  • Must know the cultural nuances of the region and be fluent in Spanish and English. Portuguese language a plus.
  • Must be willing to travel internationally
