BOWEN is looking for an experienced and energetic Recruitment Specialist to join our team, focused on recruiting and filling temporary reception, administration and other office services roles. BOWEN offers a dynamic, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment where our Recruitment Solutions team provides full cycle recruitment services for client’s on temporary, contract and permanent roles.  The team manages the full life cycle of BOWEN’s temporary workforce working on assignment with our client organizations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Proactively source, pre-screen and interview candidates focusing on job families including reception, administration, corporate services, accounting and some general labour
  • Working with the business development team, take thorough job orders and build rapport with clients
  • Review job applicants and utilize Boolean searching techniques to conduct applicant tracking system searches
  • Effectively use other employment search tools including Indeed and LinkedIn
  • Meet weekly interview targets and ensure candidate files are kept up to date
  • Write job postings and post through BOWEN’s internal applicant tracking system, erecruit
  • Source, short-list and present top pre-qualified candidates for client’s roles
  • Manage assignments from start to finish, ensuring the application tracking system is up to date
  • Assist candidates on assignment with payroll related inquiries and ensure timesheets are completed and submitted in a timely manner for payment
  • Uphold BOWEN’s COR designation by effectively managing health and safety incidents and report to WCB if necessary
  • Understand and interpret employment standards and BOWEN’s employee agreements with candidates
  • Establish and leverage professional relationships through networking and attending association events

Candidate Qualifications

  • Two or more years of recruitment experience in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • Goal oriented - previous experience in a results driven and KPI focused environment
  • Computer skills – highly efficient in the use of Applicant Tracking Systems, LinkedIn, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Priority setting – can attend to a broad range of activities in a fast paced high volume environment
  • Customer focus – dedicated to delivering an excellent customer experience and being responsive to customer inquiries
  • The ability to work with and a variety of personalities in a professional manner
  • Team results driven – can be counted on to find solutions to challenges, share openly and take the initiative to make things happen
  • Strategic thinker – continuously looking for new and better ways for delivering the desired outcomes
  • Revenue focus – committed to closing on new business opportunities and aligning service levels to revenue potential
  • Highly detail oriented and accurate
  • Able to build rapport quickly with external and internal stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal; not afraid to ask the right questions and pick up the phone to talk to candidates and clients
  • Related post-secondary education, or further education in Human Resources would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Human Resources practices
