Our Calgary client is looking for a Senior Software Engineer Architect that loves collaborating with others and knows the importance of building scalable systems with the capacity to support growth. Job Responsibilities

Provide strong leadership within the architecture and design areas
Design and develop software
Define the system and software architecture
Oversee product cloud architecture solutions.
Oversee cloud development and production environments
Recommend and assist with implementation of best DevOps processes for Cloud development processes
Contribute to the estimating of engineering designs and implementations
Model concepts as well as prove and demonstrate architectural decisions
Utilize SCRUM and Agile methodologies to complete tasks and accomplish workflows

Candidate Qualifications

Graduate degree in Engineering, Science, or related field
Five+ years of experience in designing and developing software solutions and system architectures
Experience with GCP cloud and deep understanding of cloud native and fundamentals of GCP.
Certified GCP Professional Cloud Architect would be a bonus
Hands on experience in cloud native architecture design, implementation of fault tolerant applications for cloud
Experience designing and building SOA, microservices, web services, API base architectures
Experience developing platform based (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) infrastructure
Strong familiarity with modern architecture principles
Experience developing complete high performance, scalable applications
Knowledge of design patterns and frameworks
Languages/Tools: JavaScript, Node.JS, Kubernetes, Docker, Apigee
Bonus points if you’ve built a startup, can demonstrate your unique contributions to open source projects and/or have experience with deep tech
