Specific Role Summary
The Market Development Analyst will be responsible for a full range of activities that will ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of the organization. This individual will act as the face and voice of BOWEN Group and will closely collaborate with all functional business units in the organization in order to develop and achieve specific and strategic goals. Primary responsibilities of the Market Development Analyst will include conducting on-going research and analysis of the local market, staying current in trends and innovations that may impact business interests, identifying and developing sales leads, providing advanced administrative functions, and supporting all aspects of the proposal, presentation and RFP process.

Essential Functions
Client and Delivery Management
  • Execute BOWEN Group’s strategic plans and promote the mission and values of the organization both internally and externally
  • Conduct market research and analysis specific to the local market
  • Assess operational issues in regards to competitiveness, staying current in terms of trends and innovations
  • Stay up-to-date with external and internal developments in the environment for identifying new market segments
  • Utilize research tools to identify and develop potential sales leads for the Business Development Manager’s
  • Ensure a healthy and sustainable pipeline of qualified opportunities at all times by researching prospects that fit our ideal client criteria in all regions
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of products and services, act as a resource for internal and external inquiries
  • Ability to support with prospecting clients, outside cold calling and blitzing along with rejection handling as required
  • Ability to communication comfortably and act as a liaison between Senior Sales Representatives and Executives
Administrative Management 
  • Manage vertical call lists and working talk tracks
  • Prepare and deliver reports on the status of all research, sales initiatives and programs to senior management
  • Participate and assist with the coordination of promotional events and industry trade shows
  • Provide advanced administrative support to ensure the effective and efficient operation of all administrative processes
  • Assist in the creation of area-specific business line communications
  • A subject matter expect in internal CRM platforms by ensuring the data in the CRM is up to date and accurate at all times and continually trending towards sales and growth targets
  • Communicate and book meetings by way of following up and qualifying multi-sourced leads, contact and qualify key influencers and/or decision makers in prospective companies via phone, email and social networks
  • Support all aspects of the proposal, project and RFP process, including coordination and liaising with customers


Education & Experience
  • University Degree ideal, not a formal requirement
  • Working experience in the sales industry preferred
  • Minimum 2 years' working experience in business development and lead generation Competencies
  • A proven track record of client engagement or relationship management 
  • A clear understanding for a service culture and high sense of delivery
  • Possess the following personal qualities: self-motivated, integrity, creativity, high standards, commitment, ethical values, and achievement oriented
  • Excellent organizational, strategic, planning and implementing skills
  • Excellent management writing, verbal communication skills and strong presentation abilities
  • Proven skills to interact effectively with the public and all levels of management
  • Understanding of the industry and area of service
  • Ability to assign and delegate work, problem solve, answer questions and evaluate results of performance
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe products, CRM systems and e-mail required
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts
  • Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects
  • Results driven with a competitive attitude
