Do have superior customer service skills paired with experience in the hospitality industry? Our client, the largest wine and spirits merchant in Canada is seeking an experienced Store Manager to join their team in Regina on a permanent basis.  The successful candidate will drive profitable sales growth and be responsible for the staff and support the overall company operations and systems.  A relocation allowance will be provided for the right candidate.  If this sounds like something you may be interested in, please apply below! 

Job Responsibilities 
  • Responsible for the full cycle hiring of staff
  • Coordination of staff training 
  • Annual reviews, discipline and provide regular staff feedback
  • Maintain policies regarding staff set forth by head office
  • All employee scheduling based on head office requirements
  • Delegate to supervisors and staff the daily expectations
  • Ensure all tasks are done in an efficient and timely manner
  • Create a list of tasks to be done on days when not in
  • Assist staff in the receiving and stocking of the store
  • Maintain weekly cycle inventory counts and verify all discrepancies
  • Ensure the proper paperwork is completed and sent to the correct people in a timely manner
  • Coordinate the transfer of product between the warehouse and the store
  • Ensure loss prevention protocols are maintained
  • Work with staff to improve their product knowledge and customer service skills
  • Create Seasonal Calendar of events and festivals
  • Teach classes or host seminars based on event schedule
  • Work with media outlets such as radio and television to help promote the company
Candidate Qualifications 
  • Five+ years working in the hospitality industry
  • Two+ years in a management role
  • Certifications in Wine programs, tasting events and wine classes
  • Sommelier accreditation would be a strong asset
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, along with ability to interact with personnel at various levels both internally and externally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Good time management and prioritization skills
  • Able maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, leadership team, suppliers, and the general public
  • A relocation allowance will be provided for the right candidate
