Are you looking to gain experience in purchasing procedures? Our client is looking for a Customer Service Coordinator to join their shipping and receiving team permanently in Calgary AB. The successful candidate will assist with all administrative duties, preform some minor purchasing and hold a position on the health and Safety committee. Job Responsibilities
  • Quote process and lead times to customers
  • Liaise with the dispatcher in regards to product lead times
  • Enter sales into the database communications with customers regarding any changes with orders 
  • Negotiate shipping’s contracts for sales
  • Liaise with the warehouse crew chief for shipments 
  • Prepare office supplies 
  • Purchasing of consumables (eg. Boxes, argon, twine, gloves, safety supplies anything other than maintenance parts and supplies 
  • Duties related to the safety committee  
  • Knowing and applying the company safety policies and relevant OH&S Act regulation and code
  • Participate in the company safety program, including all safety training and suggesting areas for improvement

Candidate Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be fluent in both spoken and written English
  • Great customer service skills
  • Have prior experience on an order desk and have advanced computer skills
  • Must be trainable to be competent in all procedures as outlined in the sales administration procedures manual
  • Must be trainable to be competent in purchasing procedures
